Django’s Tiger are a Cambridge-based band playing in the tradition of Django Reinhardt and Stefan Grapelli, in the swing style borne from a fusion of American swing jazz of the 1920s to 40s, Parisian musette dancehall music, and traditional manouche tunes. Melodic, with strong dancing rhythms perfect for dancing, their music has an infectious sense of fun. The name Django’s Tiger comes from one of their favourite tunes in the genre, inspired by the ragtime classic Tiger Rag, and has become a fitting signature tune with its catchy melody and lilting, bouncy rhythm.
