A Truly Magical and Unique Weekend

Ask anyone who has been: Nighthawks Summer Weekender is a magical event. We are blessed to be in our picturesque location, between the charming brewery buildings, the lake, and Stowe Woods. The music is brilliant - last year the consensus was that every band was incredible, and felt like they upped their game, inspired by the atmosphere, venue and energy of the guests.

The venues are enchanting: the main space, courtesy of The Artful Dodgems, is a restored 1963 Dodgems saloon, a bright and breezy outdoor ballroom with sprung wooden floor and amazing acoustics. For contrast we have the hugely atmospheric Barrelhouse, in the brewery Tap Room, which is our little juke joint for the weekend, perfect for small bands and raucous party vibes. Last year we introduced the Edward Hopper Lounge, a larger indoor space for slow blues, quick jazz, and intoxicating cocktails.

The event appeals to lovers of vintage music and dance styles, as well as those new to it all. We have dance classes if you would like to learn a few moves from the jazz era, and this year we have various styles to choose from. There's more besides - roller disco with motown and soul tunes, silent disco with 3 channels from 3 decades, talks, lawn games, falconry show, or you can just sit in the sunshine, drink cider and enjoy some delicious food. That said, if you just can't stop hoppin', you can absolutely dance non-stop for the entire weekend: there is always a venue with live or DJ music open at any given time.

Many guests choose to camp, either in a vehicle or tent. But you don't have to - there are hotels and holiday lets nearby, and you can come and go at your leisure. We have hot showers and changing facilities for all, and we have extended this area to include dressing room areas with mirrors, for those who like to dress up posh.
